DENVER (KDVR) — A suspect in an armed carjacking reportedly led Aurora police officers on a chase last Wednesday, the Aurora Police Department said in a social media post on Monday morning.
Just before 9 a.m. on Sept. 23, Aurora police were alerted to a stolen vehicle in the area near East 17th Avenue and North Lansing Street. The vehicle had reportedly been stolen during an armed carjacking in Denver earlier that morning, the department reported.

An officer located the vehicle and attempted to catch up to it, but the driver took off and reportedly ran several red lights and drove into oncoming traffic to escape.
