$5M cash bond set for former Boulder deputy in HQ shooting

A Boulder County district judge set a $5 million cash bond for former Boulder County Sheriff’s Office Deputy Tyler Reilly, who allegedly shot at the sheriff’s office headquarters with an AR-15-style rifle Monday.

Reilly, 40, also allegedly shot at several police vehicles in the parking lot of the Broomfield Police Department at 7 Descombes Drive in Broomfield.

He appeared in District Judge David Anthony Archuleta’s courtroom virtually Tuesday afternoon from the Jefferson County Detention Facility, where he was moved after initially being booked into the Boulder County Jail Monday.

Officials suggested Reilly be moved out of the Boulder County Jail, given that he previously worked there between 2012 and 2023 before pursuing a role as a deputy, according to an arrest affidavit…
