Young girl shot outside an Aurora apartment complex

DENVER (KDVR) — The Aurora Police Department said officers found a young girl with a gunshot wound, as well as bullet shells scattered around a parking lot at an apartment complex Tuesday afternoon.

In a press release sent on Wednesday, Aurora police said a bullet only grazed the girl and her injuries are non-life-threatening. Officers responded to 100 Joliet Circle just after 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday because of a report of a shooting.
