WESTMINSTER, Colo. — Water officials in Westminster said the city’s drinking water is safe to drink, despite being affected by taste and smell issues.
The City of Westminster said its drinking water is currently affected by taste and odor issues, but remains safe to drink and is tested regularly to make sure it meets all required safety standards.
The city said its drinking water source, Standley Lake, goes through a natural ecological process called turnover, when cooler surface water mixes with deeper water.
