Some of the best BBQ to be found in the Denver metro area is on wheels — often just a trailer loaded up with a smoker (or smokers), a boatload of wood and some pitmaster know-how.
Such was the case with Jordy’s BBQ. Founded by a SoCal transplant who landed in Denver in 2024, Jordy’s fires up Central Texas brisket in a custom-made smoker special-ordered from the Lone Star state. Since then, the truck has been a staple at beer gardens across the metro area, from Golden to RiNo to Louisville, and beyond.
But now founder and pitmaster David Haskia is pulling the smoker over and establishing a brick-and-mortar space of his own, taking over the former Raíces Brewing space on 2600 West Colfax Avenue, which closed almost exactly a year ago.
