Close doors and windows: Electric car fire posed health risk

DENVER (KDVR) — South Metro Fire Rescue asked all residents within a half mile of Arapahoe Road and Waco Street to close their doors and windows because an electric car fire posed a health risk. The shelter-in-place order was lifted at 8:23 a.m. on Tuesday.

In a social media post, South Metro said Arapahoe Road is closed in both directions because of a car fire in Foxfield. The department later updated the post, showing the electric car fire extinguished. However, the fire crew warned residents to keep their windows closed for the time being.
