DENVER, CO — A statewide grand jury has indicted Stephanie Laugier, 27, and Thierno Barry, 29, in an alleged bank fraud operation that investigators say moved from Colorado’s mountain communities to the Denver area during the summer of 2025.
Attorney General Phil Weiser said the case centers on home equity line of credit accounts and false identity documents used at several banks and credit unions. Prosecutors say the losses already exceed $800,000, with another $300,000 in attempted losses.
The indictment was filed in Denver District Court on July 31 and unsealed recently.
