An Aurora man has been convicted of second-degree murder in connection with the 2021 disappearance and death of his wife, even though her body has never been found. Shane Dorsey was found guilty after a seven-day jury trial, and he now faces a potential 96-year prison sentence depending on how the court handles a set of enhancements tied to his criminal history.

KDVR’s account of the trial added that the car was found days after Marino-Dorsey disappeared, with significant damage and many of her personal belongings still inside.
Her body has still not been found, per the same outlet’s coverage of the verdict. That detail leaves a central question in the case unresolved even after a jury has decided what happened to her.
Years of Police Calls Preceded the Disappearance
