Denver rent prices increased in January

DENVER ( KDVR ) — As one of the most expensive places to live in the U.S. , it may not come as a surprise that rent prices in Denver increased in the first month of the new year.

Prices could continue to go up, considering historical trends suggest that it is cheaper to rent in the fall and winter months as rental units are more valuable in the spring and summer .

While this month’s Zumper National Rent Report found that prices are increasing in Denver, the Mile High City rental market may be flooded with more empty housing units than would-be renters.

Rent prices in Denver for January 2024

Renting in Denver in January was more expensive than the national average, according to Zumper’s report.

Zumper noted that the national medians remained flat over the last month, and rent prices were generally trending downward across the country — but not in Denver.
