The video appears to show a biker traveling from Colorado Springs to Denver at around 150 mph
Colorado State Patrol said Wednesday that it had identified a motorcyclist who was seen driving at least 150 miles per hour in a viral video last September.
The department told The Messenger that Rendon Dietzmann, 32, of Texas, was the suspect behind the clip, which appeared to show him getting to Denver from Colorado Springs in just 20 minutes. The trip, along the I-25, usually takes around an hour.
In the video , the bike was seen weaving around larger vehicles, at some points “squeezing” between them. The video was originally posted by the YouTuber “Gixxer Brah,” who Colorado State Patrol now believes is Dietzmann.
“Illegal and reckless driving behavior will not be tolerated in Colorado,” Sgt. Troy Kessler, spokesman for Colorado State Patrol, said in a press release.
“We care too much for those traveling on our roadways to ignore the blatant disregard for the safety of others.”
