DENVER (KDVR) — Snow showers move back into the Denver weather forecast Thursday night ahead of a cooler Friday and mild weekend.

Weather tonight: Snow showers

Thursday night, clouds will increase ahead of late snow showers. Temperatures will be chilly, falling to the upper 20s in the metro.

Weather tomorrow: Morning snow, colder

On Friday, snow showers will wrap up by the afternoon. Denver will see less than an inch of snowfall in total from Thursday night into Friday.

The highest snowfall will be in southern Colorado. Because new snowfall could lead to dangerous travel conditions, winter weather advisories will remain in effect through Friday.

After the snow ends, conditions will stay cloudy and cooler with highs only reaching the 40s.

Looking ahead: Sunshine and warming

Sunshine returns to the forecast just in time for the weekend. Temperatures on Saturday will be near seasonal, with an early morning low in the 20s before a high in the 40s.
