The New Orleans Saints are losing another member of the organization to Sean Payton and the Denver Broncos. This time, it’s a front office member at the forefront of their scouting department.
Saints assistant college scouting director Cody Rager is headed to the Broncos, according to Nick Underhill.

Rager has been an important part of New Orleans’ college scouting in recent years. He and Jeff Ireland had a strong relationship.
The young executive spent nine years with the Saints as a West Coast area scout before moving up to the national level. Rager was promoted in 2021.
He also spent time with the Miami Dolphins front office from 2012-2013. His prior experience was in the SEC with the Tennessee Volunteers and Alabama Crimson Tide.
Rager’s role with Denver will be a new one. The Saints will need to replace Rager in their front office sooner rather than later. The 2024 NFL Draft is only around three months away.
The addition of Rager adds to the growing list of pieces of the Saints franchise that Payton has pulled away since he left to join the Broncos.
