Tim Allen discusses growing up in Colorado, comedy style ahead of Denver show

DENVER (KDVR) — Denver native Tim Allen will bring his comedy tour, A Night of Comedy, to the Bellco Theatre on Friday, Feb. 2 at 7 p.m., and he took some time to talk about his childhood with FOX31’s morning show hosts.

Allen is known for his roles in the “Toy Story” movie series, “Wild Hogs,” “The Santa Clause” and “Galaxy Quest,” in addition to TV appearances. He appeared on FOX sitcom “Last Man Standing” as well as ABC’s “Home Improvement,” where he was Tim “The Tool Man” Taylor. He was also a star and executive producer most recently in the Disney+ series “The Santa Clauses.”

He sat down with FOX31’s morning show on Tuesday to discuss his connection to Denver and his current comedy tour.

“I love it, my brother still lives there,” Allen said, noting that he went to Dora Moore Elementary School when living in the Mile High City. “My brothers went to East (High School) and we used to go to Crestmoor, which is a community pool across Colorado Boulevard, and 2nd or 3rd Avenue if I remember correctly.”
