Up to 36 inches could fall in Colorado as widespread ‘heavy snow’ moves into state

A major snow storm is set to hit Colorado over upcoming days, with the National Weather Service predicting that some select peaks may get up to 36 inches of snow in the most likely snowfall scenario between Friday morning and Sunday evening. While that higher total is expected on only a few peaks in the Steamboat Springs area, much of Colorado’s mountainous region should get at least 12 to 18 inches during that time frame.
