2 in custody after alleged armed robbery, police chase in Aurora

DENVER ( KDVR ) — Two people were taken into custody following an alleged armed robbery at a convenience store and a police chase that followed in Aurora.

According to the Aurora Police Department, officers were called to a robbery at the Circle K in the 3000 block of North Chambers Road at around 11 p.m. Wednesday.

Police said the convenience store was robbed at gunpoint, but thankfully no one was injured.

Officers spotted the suspect vehicle and initiated a pursuit.

Aurora Police said the chase went through Denver and then back to Aurora. Officers used a Precision Immobilization Technique, or PIT maneuver, to end the pursuit in the area of South Sable Boulevard, south of East Jewell Avenue.

According to Aurora police, two people inside the car attempted to run on foot but were apprehended by officers at around midnight.

One suspect was identified as a 42-year-old Vinh Vu of Denver. He was arrested on the following charges:
