ATF, Denver police offer $5K reward for information in 18-year-old’s death

DENVER (KDVR) — A reward increase was announced Monday for a five-year-old shooting homicide that occurred on East 29th Avenue between Forest and Glencoe streets.

The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives announced it, in conjunction with the Denver Police Department, is offering a $5,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of those responsible for the Sept. 7, 2018, shooting death of Khobi Cyan Eiland.

Previously, Metro Denver Crime Stoppers was offering a $2,000 reward for information in the case.

Eiland, 18, was walking to a friend’s house when police say someone shot him and left him for dead near his home in North Park Hill. Despite resuscitation efforts, Eiland died at the scene, police say.
