Woman trapped under wrecked truck for hours recovering in the hospital

LAKEWOOD, Colo. (KDVR) — A local woman is recovering after she crashed while driving home from work and was pinned under a vehicle for hours until she was found.

A group of friends is organizing a fundraiser to help 27-year-old Rachael Hammack, who rolled her truck off West Morrison Road early Tuesday morning while she was on the way home from work. She veered off the road and down a hill, hidden from traffic, and was not discovered for hours until someone at a nearby golf course spotted her.

“Thank you, to whomever found her,” friend Lily McCormick said. “It’s a miracle that she’s here.”
