Reginald MacLaren was found guilty of two counts each of first-degree murder and tampering with a deceased body along with false reporting, the 18th Judicial District Attorney’s Office said in a press release . MacLaren murdered his wife Bethany MacLaren, 70, and daughter Ruth Jennifer MacLaren, 35, with an ax and then chopped them up with a saw before stuffing their bodies in trash cans he had bought over a week earlier at Home Depot.
