Mystery leak causes damage in Littleton condominium

LITTLETON, Colo. (KDVR) A mysterious leak at a Littleton condominium complex has residents concerned.

Lynda Speck told FOX31 water is seeping into her home at the Miralago Condominiums and causing extensive damage.

“Probably a minimum of $10,000 to replace all your flooring all of your baseboards cutting into the walls and replacing you know drywall,” she said.

One other resident complained about the same leak. The Homeowners Association confirms after the first leak was reported on Aug. 7, they brought in a plumbing contractor to make repairs then another leak reported on the 12th, was repaired. The kitchen lines were cleared but the leak leaves signs of growing mold behind.

“It was a leak that extended out to about half of my unit,” said Speck.

The HOA told FOX31 that the staff is investigating whether ground water is getting in from Marston Lake that sits adjacent to the building.

“I just feel I would have some type of seepage or some other kind of water issues,” said Speck.
