16-year-old from Littleton arrested for allegedly threatening Falcon High School

EL PASO COUNTY, Colo. (KXRM) — The El Paso County Sheriff’s Office arrested a minor from Littleton after the juvenile allegedly threatened Falcon High School on social media in September.

On Sept. 17, the Colorado Springs Police Department received an anonymous tip about a social media post threatening Falcon High School. The information was forwarded to a school resource officer who initiated the investigation.

The threat happened during a dispute online between several students at multiple different schools. The sheriff’s office said the students who viewed these threats acted responsibly and reported them quickly.

Falcon School District 49 communicated with parents and students about this threat and since it originated outside of Colorado Springs, they decided it was not an immediate threat to the school.

The individual was quickly identified as a minor from Littleton, and the local police department assisted the sheriff’s office in gathering evidence related to the investigation.
