Los Angeles Chargers: Top rookies on track to play vs. Broncos in Week 6

The Los Angeles Chargers had their bye week at a crucial time. The team left the field in Week 4 with their second straight loss and a list of injuries that included almost every top player on the team. It appears that the Chargers are going to get at least some of them back on the field for Week 6.

Sitting at 2-2, Week 6 presents a critical matchup for the Chargers as they will go on the road to face the Denver Broncos, a team they have not fared well against in recent years. The Broncos have also won three games in a row.

However, it looks like two of the team’s top picks from this year’s draft class — Joe Alt and Junior Colson — will be ready to return to the field.

Alt was injured during the team’s Week 3 loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers and had to miss the game the following week.

Alt was able to practice fully with the team on Thursday. That is huge news for the Chargers as he was already looking like everything he was promised to be ahead of the draft in the first two games of the season.
