Broomfield liquor store broken into a second time after thieves steal tens of thousands of dollars’ worth of items

BROOMFIELD, Colo. (KDVR) — A Broomfield liquor store has been broken into for a second time in under two years.

Around 3:30 a.m. on Thursday, two people dressed in all black shattered the door at Arista Wine and Spirits. Surveillance video showed the pair go behind the counter, rummage through the store and leave with several items.

“They got away with a lot of high-end tequilas, lot of our top shelf stuff, we’re talking tens of thousands of dollars worth of high-end items. They stole probably about 350 vapes,” said owner Brian Yauk. “I wake up Thursday morning to an alert from my alarm system. I’m watching it live, them robbing us of our livelihood.”

Yauk said it only took the pair four minutes to harm his business, before ultimately getting away.

“It was maddening really. It was unnerving, unsettling, real gut-wrenching,” said Yauk. “The police told me that they made contact with them only a few blocks away from here… She turned on the lights. They turned off their lights and fled. She said unfortunately it’s Broomfield’s policy “to not pursue.”
