Shooter at large after man critically injured in likely road rage incident

A man on a motorcycle was critically injured in a shooting Monday morning that police said was likely connected to road rage.

The shooting was reported at 10:20 a.m. at 14219 E. Colfax Ave. in Aurora, which is just east of Interstate 225. According to Aurora Police, the victim was stopped in a parking lot where he was shot by an unknown person who was in a black SUV.

He was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries, police said. The shooter drove off before officers arrived.

The circumstances of the shooting remain under investigation; however, it’s believed to be related to road rage.
