Westminster police arrest man accused of attempted kidnapping

DENVER (KDVR) — The Westminster Police Department has arrested and identified the man accused of an attempted kidnapping that happened on Oct. 25 near West 125th Avenue and Delaware Street.

Westminster police officers located the suspect in the 12000 block of N. Melody Drive hours after the attempted kidnapping occurred.

The suspect was taken into custody without incident and a handgun was also recovered.

Police identified the man as Jeremiah Mullins, 31, and said he was linked as a suspect in a series of other crimes after further investigation.

On Nov. 1, the 17th Judicial District Attorney’s Office filed several charges against Mullins which included:

  • Aggravated robbery
  • Kidnapping
  • Attempted kidnapping
  • Aggravated motor vehicle theft
  • Possession of a weapon by a previous defender

Mullins has had a cash-only bond set at $1 million.
