DENVER (KDVR) — Two railroad crossings in Commerce City are expected to be closed for a few hours Monday night while investigators clear a crash involving a train and a vehicle.
According to the South Adams County Fire Department, there were no major injuries sustained in the crash. The agency reported the crash at 6:50 p.m.
The fire department said that the railroad crossing at Highway 2 and 88th Avenue, and at Highway 2 and 80th Avenue , may be closed “over the next few hours.” The area borders the Rocky Mountain Arsenal.

Commerce City police also posted to X about the crash, noting that both directions of Highway 2 were closed at 88th Avenue as of 6:54 p.m. The agency said the vehicle “died on the train tracks,” and the driver was attempting to push it off the tracks “when the train came through.”
