DENVER ( KDVR ) — From having some of the most 100-degree days in the summer to temperatures in the 60s in December, the National Weather Service determined 2024 was one of the warmest years in Denver’s history.
Last year continually broke heat records. It was so hot in the summer of 2024 that temperatures reached the triple-digits multiple times, beating out records held for over 100 years.
Heading into the fall, temperatures stayed hot. September 2024 was the hottest in Denver history with temperatures in the mid-90s . By the start of October, those temperatures remained above average, reaching the high 80s and leaving Denver with the hottest start to fall in history .

Even though it was the snowiest November in history, December was the ninth warmest, staying at 8.3 degrees above normal, according to the NWS. December barely even saw snow, with over an inch of last-minute snow falling at the Denver International Airport on New Year’s Eve.
