Motorcyclist seriously hurt after driver turns in front of them before crashing into fence

DENVER (KDVR) — A motorcyclist suffered serious but non-life-threatening injuries in a crash after a driver failed to yield while turning left in front of them Thursday afternoon, according to the Thornton Police Department.

The driver of the vehicle also crashed through a fence into a nearby backyard, police said.

The crash happened on Colorado Boulevard in the area of East 115th Avenue. The roadway near the crash was closed for several hours during the investigation but has since reopened.

Thornton police said as of Thursday afternoon, there was no suspicion of drugs or alcohol being involved in the crash.
