Over 500 flights delayed, 26 canceled amid dense fog at Denver airport

DENVER ( KDVR ) — Saturday is a Pinpoint Weather Alert Day as dense fog and snow move into Denver weather .

While dense fog and snow flurries were seen at the Denver International Airport on Saturday morning, hundreds of flights have been delayed and more than a dozen have been canceled.

This Colorado area is expected to see the most snow this weekend

According to online flight tracker FlightAware , as of 2:30 p.m., there are 545 flights delayed and 26 canceled coming in and out of the Denver International Airport.

These airlines had the most delayed flights:

  • Southwest: 175
  • United: 171
  • SkyWest: 135
  • Frontier: 16
  • Delta: 13

Four airlines have flights canceled, including 11 on SkyWest, 12 on United, two on Southwest and one on Frontier.

According to FlightAware’s Misery Map , the Denver airport has the most canceled flights of any airport in the U.S. on Saturday.

The delayed and canceled flights have been steadily climbing all morning. Travelers can check the status of their flight through their airline or by entering flight information on FlightAware .
