WHEAT RIDGE, Colo. ( KDVR ) — Wheat Ridge police released a video that shows two thieves targeting an older woman while she is shopping.
Officers want people to take a good look at the video so they don’t become a victim of the crime too.
The video shows an 84-year-old woman shopping at a King Soopers on Youngfield Street. The two thieves then approach her. One distracts her by asking for help with gift cards and gets the woman to turn her back on her cart. The second suspect is seen using a shirt to cover up her shopping cart and steal the woman’s wallet.
