Denver Man Arrested in Connection with Las Vegas Homicide, Awaits Extradition

Last Wednesday, the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department took 41-year-old Steven Neal into custody in Denver, Colorado, in connection with a suspected homicide. Neal, identified by detectives as the suspect in the case, has been booked into the Denver Downtown Detention Center and is awaiting extradition to Las Vegas, according to a statement from LVMPD.

The LVMPD was initially alerted on February 24, 2025, to a possible deceased male at an apartment near the 2500 block of Tulip Lane. Officers found the unresponsive man behind the leasing office, and medical personnel declared him deceased at the scene. An early examination from the Clark County Coroner suggested the male suffered a possible gunshot wound, which prompted the LVMPD’s Homicide Section to take charge of the ongoing investigation.
