Community volunteers come together to help Brighton woman remove tree

DENVER (KDVR) — After FOX31’s Greg Nieto shared a Brighton woman’s plea for help to remove a tree endangering her home, community businesses and volunteers came together Saturday to do just that.

Beverly Martinez has lived in the home for 25 years and was worried a 100-year-old dead tree will fall onto her home.

Martinez requires the use of a wheelchair and could not afford to pay for a tree removal service. Our Family Tree Services co-owner Bryce Freeman heard Martinez’s story from Martinez’s caretaker and immediately agreed to remove the tree, and possibly a second one, for free…
