DENVER ( KDVR ) — The 16th Street Mall is slowly opening up, bringing new installations into the area, including five colorful rectangles that people can yell into to get a surprise.
The activation activities are made to draw people back onto the downtown street. This includes one of the newest installations that arrived in early March known as POP!
Lined up at Independence Plaza are red, green, orange, pink and purple monoliths which require you to yell into a nearby box to see five hidden characters — Popo, Popup, Poplu, Popette and Popotin — inside the monoliths.

“Visitors will need to engage directly with the installation by speaking into a microphone to persuade them to spring forth from their hideaways. Once freed, these unconventional personalities kick off an impromptu celebration filled with music and movement,” said Denver Downtown Partnership in a press release.
This free installation is a traveling exhibit and will be on the 16th Street Mall until April 6, but it’s just part of the 16th Street activation project.
