2 dead after ‘accidental’ house fire in Centennial

DENVER ( KDVR ) — Two people died and others were injured after a house fire in Centennial Thursday morning.

At about 2:30 a.m., the South Metro Fire Rescue posted on X that crews were responding to a single-family house fire at 6610 S. Oneida Court. According to FOX31’s Jim Hooley, who was on scene, the home was an assisted living facility for older adults.

Around 30 minutes later, at 3:05 a.m., South Metro Fire said the fire was under control and all clear. Crews searched the first floor of the home and ensured the electricity was off.
