DENVER — Prominent Colorado immigration activist Jeanette Vizguerra is alleging that Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents deliberately targeted her in a retaliatory detention, claiming violations of her First Amendment rights.
According to her legal team, Vizguerra was ambushed on March 17 outside the Target store where she works, with agents allegedly saying, “We finally got you” as they shackled her around the waist.
