ADAMS COUNTY, Colo. — One of the men who managed to escape from an Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) detention facility in Aurora last month attempted to use a false name when questioned by a deputy, according to video obtained by 9NEWS.
The video was recorded three days after Joel Gonzalez-Gonzalez and Geilond Vido-Romero walked out of an unlocked door at the GEO ICE detention facility in Aurora. The door was unlocked because of a power outage on March 18, according to officials, which led to the door not automatically locking.
