18-year-old arrested in Aurora roadway shooting targeting car with kids

Aurora police have arrested an 18-year-old in connection with a Saturday night roadway shooting that injured a man and left a 12-year-old girl with what police described as a “superficial graze wound”. Three children were in the back seat of the vehicle when shots were fired.

Christopher Campos-Anguiano, 18, was taken into custody and faces five counts of attempted second-degree murder, Aurora police said in a Sunday news release.

Officers responded around 7:22 p.m. after a man and woman called for medical assistance near East Alameda Parkway and East Colfax Avenue.
