DENVER ( KDVR ) — Tivoli Brewing Company is leaving Metropolitan State University of Denver’s Auraria Campus, marking the end of an era for the centuries-old brewery.
The brewery has sat in Auraria since the mid-to-late 1800s, serving up beers until 1969 when it closed for the first time, according to History Colorado . Renovations in the 1980s turned it into a student union for the Auraria Campus, which ultimately left parts of the building empty and outdated by 2010.

By 2012, History Colorado said Tivoli Beer came back after leaving for 43 years, and the campus said the brewery contributed to the community and educational initiatives from 2015 until 2021.
While the campus said brewing operations stopped in the fall of 2023, the tap house still served as a place for students, faculty, staff and the Denver community, that is, until the campus officially announced that the pair concluded its partnership…
