Colorado is at the forefront of states that are creating jobs — on the taxpayers’ tab, that is.
But when it comes to adding the private-sector jobs that pay the rent and put food on the table for most Coloradans — the Centennial state is near the back of the pack.
That’s the alarming upshot of a new report that tallies public-sector vs. private-sector job growth in Colorado and other states.
