LAKEWOOD, Colo. — A man arrested in a 2024 hit-and-run crash that killed a parafencer who was crossing a Lakewood street was sentenced late last week.
Jimmy Lee Chavez hit and killed 29-year-old Terre Engdahl on Feb. 23, 2024, at the intersection of Kipling Street and West 23rd Avenue. Friends said that Engdahl was a fencer and that he had been injured in a prior motorcycle accident.
