Broomfield police believe a reported stabbing that happened at 3:28 p.m. Saturday near U.S. 287 and Midway Boulevard was related to a road rage incident.
Police believe that an individual reportedly threw a drink at another car before the two drivers stopped their vehicles, according to Broomfield police spokeswoman Rachel Haslett. One man got out of his vehicle and approached the other, which was a Dodge Durango, Haslett said. The man reportedly reached into the car and another man, who was sitting in the car, responded by cutting him with a knife, according to Haslett.
The stabbing victim was taken to the hospital with a laceration on his arm and received about 30 stitches, according to Haslett. He was released from the hospital that day.
Haslett said the man accused of the stabbing was detained but not charged or booked. Haslett said the police will meet District Attorney’s Office representatives to determine if charges should be filed…
