DENVER (KDVR) — A quick but impactful storm whipped across Colorado on Wednesday, bringing with it hail, rain and gusty winds.
The wild spring weather resulted in 35 flight cancellations at Denver International Airport and 683 flight delays, mostly originating at DIA, according to flight tracking site FlightAware. The airlines with the most delays were United Airlines, with 260 delayed flights as of 8:20 p.m., Southwest with 203, and SkyWest with 134 delays.

The airport has also been on a ground delay since at least 6 p.m., with an average delay of 119 minutes due to the storms. The ground delay was in effect for 1,200 nautical miles as of about 8 p.m., with all contiguous U.S. departing flights included in the delay, which is currently scheduled to be in effect until 10 p.m.
