DENVER (KDVR) — Hundreds of flights in and out of Denver are delayed Saturday amid stormy weather across the Front Range and Eastern Plains, with more showers expected through Memorial Day.

Saturday is a Pinpoint Weather Alert Day as conditions could impact travelers on the road and in the sky, with chances for severe storms bringing large hail, gusty winds and isolated tornadoes in the afternoon and evening.
The Pinpoint Weather team expects these storms to bring the most impact to areas on the south side of the metro, wrapping up around 7 or 8 p.m.

By around 4:30 p.m. Saturday, flight delays at the Denver International Airport reached 619, according to the online flight tracking tool FlightAware. Southwest, United and SkyWest airlines each have over 100 delayed flights.
