DENVER (KDVR) — After years of construction and delays, a transformed 16th Street is making its debut in a major way with a first-of-its-kind concert and block party that brought thousands of people to the heart of downtown Denver on Memorial Day.
The event, headlined by world-famous DJ FISHER, turned the newly renovated stretch of 16th and Welton into an open-air venue, complete with a dance floor, food and drink vendors and space for 8,000 fans.

“FISHER is coming on 16th Street, we haven’t been on 16th Street since it’s been closed,” one concertgoer said. “It’s good to like, be back, be in, and see everything.”
