DENVER (KDVR) — Denver will release a limited number of e-bike rebate vouchers at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, on a first-come first-served basis, for income-qualified individuals.
The e-bike rebate vouchers are a point-of-sale rebate that is applied to the price of an e-bike or e-cargo bike from a participating bike shop. Residents who qualify for the rebate can save up to $900 by combining the $450 income-qualified city voucher with a $450 state e-bike tax credit.
A person’s total household income must be less than the median income in the Denver area — $91,280 for a single-person household — to qualify for an e-bike rebate voucher, the city says.
Release dates
If you miss out on the rebate Tuesday, the city is also releasing a limited number of vouchers on:
- Tuesday, July 29
- Tuesday, Sept. 30
- Tuesday, Nov. 25
How it works
The rebate amount from the e-bike rebate is deducted from the price of the bike when you buy it, meaning a person who uses the voucher will not have to submit a receipt for reimbursement, the city says…
