Driver fleeing traffic stop drives into park, hits occupied portable toilet

DENVER — A driver fleeing from a traffic stop on Thursday night drove though a park near downtown Denver and hit an occupied portable toilet, injuring a person inside, police said.

It happened about 6:25 p.m. Thursday, when Denver Police officers attempted to conduct a traffic stop near East 18th Avenue and Pennsylvania Street. A police spokesman did not say why officers attempted the traffic stop.
