New Target Coming to This Denver, Colorado Location

A new Target store is on the way to Green Valley Ranch, part of a massive 150-acre project near 56th Avenue and Tower Road in northeast Denver. The retailer will anchor the first phase of the Link 56 development, a long-anticipated commercial and residential hub just minutes from Denver International Airport.

The area has seen explosive growth over the past decade, with Sprouts, Chipotle, and UCHealth already serving nearby residents. But the northwest corner of the intersection remained an empty lot—until now. Groundbreaking is set for 2025, but no official opening date has been released yet. Kensington Development Partners and IM Properties are leading the project.

From Open Fields to One of Denver’s Busiest Crossroads

This site wasn’t always a prime development opportunity. Aerial images from 1956 show sparse structures and empty fields. Even by 2009, the land was still undeveloped, despite surrounding roads and housing starting to take shape. The corner stayed that way well into the 2020s. (HistoricAerials.com)…
