DENVER (KDVR) — Police are hoping drivers will think twice about speeding in Westminster after several drivers were recently caught traveling at over 100 mph.
The Westminster Police Department shared some of its officers’ notable recent traffic stops, with police radars detecting speeds ranging from 92 to 111 mph.
Four drivers were pulled over on U.S. Highway 36, which stretches between Denver and Boulder, for going over 100 mph, police said. Speeds of 100, 103, 105 and 111 were detected, and the speed limit is 65 mph.
Another driver was pulled over near Wadsworth Parkway and Independence Drive after police said they traveled at 92 mph in a 45 mph zone.
“Unfortunately the numbers don’t lie, but hopefully these drivers will think twice about driving these speeds in our city,” the police department wrote…
