Woman describes following wrong-way driver who traveled for 30 miles before fatal crash

DENVER — For more than 30 miles, the driver of a van was able to travel into oncoming traffic before they were killed in a head-on crash on Interstate 25 in downtown Denver early Sunday morning.

Kristy, who only wanted to be identified by her first name, shared cell phone videos of what she witnessed as police attempted to stop the driver of a van driving south in the northbound lanes.

“When I realized that there were no more cops around, is when my anxiety started hitting more and I decided to follow her. I don’t know why. It was like a gut feeling, but I followed her,” Kristy told 9NEWS…
