DENVER (KDVR) — One person was transported to the hospital, and a dog died in a house fire on Tuesday afternoon, according to a post on X from South Metro Fire Rescue.

The fire occurred in a house on Cantrell Court in Parker.
South Metro Fire responded to the fire around 12:38 p.m. and provided an update at 12:49 p.m. that a garage fire extended to the house and all occupants were evacuated safely.
However, in a post on X at 1:22 p.m., the agency said one patient was transported “emergent” to a local hospital. The crew on the scene was able to rescue a cat but were unable to save the dog, SMFR said…
