Amber Alert canceled in metro area after toddler “taken with force” found safe

An Amber Alert in the Denver metro area has been canceled after a toddler who was “taken with force by noncustodial parents” was found safe. The child was taken at 1 a.m. Sunday in Centennial on the 5160 block of South Quintero Street.

The Amber Alert stated that the noncustodial parents are a White man and an Asian woman. They are Jared Reid, 42, and Rose Kim, 41. Police said they believed Reid was dangerous and had a weapon.

The vehicle the pair was driving, a 2001 Toyota 4-Runner, was seen in Thornton in the area of 120th and Irma around 1:45 a.m. Sometime around sunrise, the 4Runner was located in Centennial.

It was found in a parking space at a condo complex in the 7700 block of East Phillips Circle. The Arapahoe County Sheriff’s Office led a SWAT operation that surrounded several adjacent residences in the complex…
